The site’s surroundings evince contrasting arquitectural styles from different eras, revealing the neighborhood’s transitional status. On a 572 m2 lot, we design a two-wing housing complexwith11 apartments of equal size (100 m2). Each apartment features 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, common spaces, and a utility room.
The design of each wing reflects features from the surrounding buildings, so that the complex functions as a visual pivot or transition point in the neighborhood. This concept is expressed in the contrasting materials and volumes—one side massive and monolithic, and the other light and open.
